With over 21 years of combined experience and a shared passion for helping people protect what matters most, Robert and Tanya Parrish have built an agency defined by trust, expertise, and genuine care for every client.
Robert founded the agency after a successful career in the steel industry, bringing a businessman's mindset and a neighbor's heart to the insurance world. He's been serving OBX families and businesses for over 7 years.
Tanya became a licensed insurance professional during her career at SECU and spent nearly 14 years as an agent with NC Farm Bureau before joining Robert to expand the agency's reach and depth. Her credentials — FSCP (Fellow, Financial Services Certified Professional) and LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) — reflect her commitment to professional excellence.

Robert brings a unique perspective to insurance — the discipline of industry, the warmth of a neighbor, and the work ethic of someone who built something from scratch. After a career in the steel industry, he launched Parrish Insurance with a simple mission: give Outer Banks residents and businesses access to a trusted, independent insurance partner.
Robert specializes in Home, Auto, Rental, and Commercial insurance and works with multiple carriers to ensure his clients receive competitive pricing without sacrificing quality coverage.
Tanya R. Parrish
Co-Owner & Licensed Insurance Agent
Tanya brings more than 17 years of insurance expertise to the agency. She began her career in financial services at SECU, where she first became licensed to sell insurance. She then spent nearly 14 years as a dedicated agent with NC Farm Bureau before partnering with Robert to grow Parrish Insurance into a full-service independent agency.
Her designations — FSCP (Fellow, Financial Services Certified Professional) and LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) — are earned through rigorous coursework and represent her deep commitment to professional development and client-first service.
